How Do I Apply?
An application form can be obtained from The Registry office, Housing Help, Action-Logement or the office of any participating housing provider. You can also download and print the application form.
Read the instructions carefully and complete the application. Make sure that the Release and Consent/Declaration on the application has been signed by all members of your household who are 16 years or older.
All household members must submit proof of Canadian residency and proof of their current income.
Submit your application and all applicable supporting documents to The Registry by mail or in person. The Registry will not accept applications by fax.
The Registry determines eligibility for rent-geared-to-income (RGI) housing based on a complete application only. Your application will not be considered for eligibility if the application form is incomplete or if documents are missing.
You are responsible for keeping your file up-to-date at least once per year. You must also notify The Registry if:
- Your address changes
- Your phone number changes
- The number of people on your application changes
- The contact information on your application changes
- You want to change community selections on your application
Personal information under your application form is collected pursuant to the Housing Services Act, 2011, or the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, (R.S.O. 1990, cM.56) and will be used to determine RGI housing eligibility.
